Passenger Assessment

The Passenger Assessment is undertaken by an Occupational Therapist and involves assessment of a person's ability to access a vehicle as a driver or passenger, covering the following areas:
  • Physical ability, medical condition and prognosis
  • Functional impairment
  • Seating and posture
  • Present vehicle
  • Carers health and ability
  • Lifestyle requirements
  • Home situation
  • Financial options
There are a number of aids at the Centre including swivel seats, person hoist, wheelchair hoists, transfer boards and other basic equipment  We also have a wheelchair accessible vehicle and information on a wide range of other equipment and vehicles.
